We are a professional association created to address the need for a credible and stable organization for professionals involved in traumatic stress treatment, education and research.
As of January 2014, IATP has changed its name and status to IATP, LLC.
IATP, LLC was established in 2009 by Mike Dubi, Ed.D., LMHC and Eric Gentry, Ph.D., LMHC trauma therapists and trauma educators and trainers. Each has more than twenty years of training and experience working with traumatic stress as clinicians and training providers in the U.S. and abroad.
IATP, LLC works with colleges and universities, where it designs and offers trauma certification for faculty and students, and serves as committee members for graduate students specializing in traumatology, and with health organizations, where it collaborates with management to design programs aimed at resolving primary trauma as a means of reducing secondary trauma at all levels of the organization.
Mission and Goals
The mission of IATP, LLC is to provide the highest quality of trauma education within the professional community founded upon collaboration and mutual support.
Our goals include:
- working in the U.S. and abroad to identify the overt and hidden presentation of traumatic stress conditions and employ the active ingredients of trauma treatment that spans cultural and theoretical frameworks
- standardization of the fundamental components of trauma education
- development of a broad and rich network of resources and support for individuals who work with traumatic stress in any capacity
